High School Parents and Athletes:
Recognizing the seriousness of this unprecedented time that we find ourselves living, the Yorktown High School Athletic Department in conjunction with school administration, IHSAA and local officials has developed a plan that would allow our student-athletes to safely return to activity at Yorktown High School starting on July 6th.
As of right now, the plan is for those athletes wanting to participate in a FALL sport only at YHS. There may be time for winter and spring sports to start back up once we see how things progress.
Please read the protocol closely if you have a son or daughter interested in participating in a FALL sport.

Prior to July 6th, parents and student-athletes should ensure that the following items are completed:
- Have an official IHSAA Physical on file with the High School Athletic Department. If you participated in YCS sports during the 2019-20 school year as an 8th grader or high school student, we should have your physical on file. If you did not, you will need to obtain a new 2020-21 IHSAA Physical: 2020-21-IHSAA-Physical-Form1 and bring during your first activity.
- Have the IHSAA Health History Update Questionnaire and Consent and Release printed and completed. IHSAA 2020-21 Health History Update and Consent and Release. The athlete will use this form as their “ticket” for entry into conditioning workouts/team activities the week of July 6th. If you answer “yes” to any questions on this form, you will be required to receive a new IHSAA athletic physical prior to participation.
- Obtain a new physical if required.
- Have a personal water bottle for workouts and activities.
