Support Tiger Stadium Upgrades Donate and Make a Positive Difference! The Yorktown Community Schools Foundation, at the direction of the Yorktown School Board, has some thrilling updates to announce. Over the course of this year, the Foundation has diligently raised funds for enhancements and safety upgrades at Tiger Stadium. During the silent phase of the project, the Foundation has secured pledges totaling $1.35 million for the initiative. This revitalization project includes adding handrails to the bleachers for safety, and upgrading to field turf. Tiger Stadium is already a gathering cornerstone of the community used for football, graduation, track & field, cheer, dance, marching band students and, with this upgrade use can be expanded to soccer teams as well. Renovations will improve athlete and spectator safety, upgrading the bleachers and the field, and expand the usage of the field to allow other teams an element resistant surface for soccer, baseball & softball training. The public phase of the campaign is underway, with a goal of raising $300,000.
