Varsity Tigers take another Conference win this evening against Shelbyville 5-0, and JV does the same winning 5-2. Jillian and Alysse took care of business at 1S and 3S 6-2,6-0 and 6-0,6-0 respectively, being the first two matches off the court. Jules/Georgia were up the entire match, but Rhen/Isabelle were down 1-3 in the first set, rallying back to win 3,2. Hannah at 2S was down 0-6,0-3 but fought back to win 7-5 in the second, and then 12-10 in the third set breaker - way to go! In Junior Varsity action, Claire played two times against their 1 and 2 singles players, not dropping a single game. And, to JJ's surprise, she was assigned to play her very first singles match of the season at 3S and took an awesome 8-6 victory! Ryleigh/Emma and Adrianna/Nicky took down their opponents, and Emilee/Caity and Lexi/Dejah fought hard but fell 8-2 in both of those matches. 1S - Jillian defeated Muckerheide 6-2,6-0 2S - Hannah defeated Asher 1-6, 7-5, 12-10 3S - Alysse defeated Aldridge 6-0,6-0 1D - Jules/Georgia defeated Fortune/Van Wye 6-3,6-4 2D - Rhen/Isabelle defeated Steider/Huntsman 6-3,6-2 JV: 1S - Claire defeated Larrison 8-0 2S - Claire defeated Bohman 8-0 3S - JJ defeated Chen 8-6 1D - Ryleigh/Emma defeated Higgins/Fralich 8-4 2D - Adrianna/Nicky defeated Davis/O'Connor 8-6 3D - Emilee/Caity lost to Johnson/Johnson 8-2 4D - Lexi/Dejah lost to Leon-Cruz/Euell 8-2 Varsity is now 11-4 overall and finished 4-3 in the Conference, and JV is 7-7 overall and finished 3-4 in the Conference. Next up we have the make-up match @ HOME against Shenandoah on Friday at 5:00, plus Varsity has the Hotdog Invite on Saturday @ 9:00am with Greencastle, Carroll, and Frankfort. Let's finish the season strong!
