Carson Orr (-1 & medalist), Bing Wilson (E), and Alex Bratton (+1) combined to play the front nine @ Tri County’s par 36 in even par, leading the varsity boys to a 149-169 victory over Shenandoah.
On the (odd to say this non-sarcastically) beautiful afternoon gifted to us on May 14th, 2019, we ventured roughly eleven miles on the mini bus, down bumpy, narrow country roads, at times encountering farm equipment which made the commute moderately challenging. However, we arrived to find sunny skies and wonderful, if not ideal, golf conditions.
(…back to golf recap)–Over our last 18 holes of competitive golf, Carson Orr finds himself four-under par, while Alex Bratton has played those holes in +1.
We have come to expect this type of play from our juniors, but we could have a bit of a triumvirate forming here at the top of the Tiger depth chart, as Bing Wilson now boasts 37 and 36 in two of his last three nine hole matches, including a medaling effort @ Bear Slide. Certainly it seems your Tigers are starting to click at the right time.
The JV was led by freshman Evan Walsh, who shot a super solid round of 37. Evan is a ball-striking machine, and he (if not sooner) will be a big contributor in the future for the Tigers.
Other scores: Bryce Hardwick 41, Cody Carey 42, Jacob Phelps 44, Collin Meyer 46, Konner Johnson 47, Gavin Wilmes 52, and Jaden Stevenson 58.
