Boys Soccer Announcement

Starting Tuesday, May 2, the YHS Boys Soccer team will have “Open Field” on Tuesday’s and Thursday’s at the YMS soccer field from 3:30-5:00 pm for the entire month of May.  Anyone interested in trying out for the team in the fall is encouraged to participate. Boys Soccer Call out Meeting

There will be a call out meeting for any boy interested in playing soccer this coming fall season, Wednesday, April 26 at 3:05 in the high school cafeteria. You will also meet the new head coach. The meeting will last approximately 25 minutes.

Welcome Shane Guinn

The Yorktown Athletic Department is pleased to welcome new boys soccer coach Shane Guinn. Shane is a 1992 graduate of Yorktown High School and Ball State University. He has been heavily involved with the Delaware County Futbol Club as a Coach, Director of Fundraising and past President.

Ziebart Athlete of the Week

Brevin Smith Brevin is a Captain on the Boys Soccer Team and was instrumental in the teams 8-2 win over Blackford. Brevin scored a goal and had 4 assists as the Tigers picked up their first win of the season.

Boys Soccer Picks up first win

Yorktown Boy’s Soccer clenched their first victory of the season by defeating Blackford 8-2. The Tigers started off early with a Michael Bade unassisted goal off of a half volley from 12 yards out. Blackford quickly countered with a breakaway goal putting the score 1-1. Blackford fouled Yorktown inside the 18 which drew a Penalty kick

Soccer teams to scrimmage at New Castle

The Girls and Boys Soccer programs will conduct a scrimmage, Saturday, August 13th at New Castle on their new turf field (football stadium) The Girls Scrimmage will be from 4:00-5:30 pm The Boys Scrimmage will be from 6:00-7:30 pm There is an admission charge of $5.00 Good luck Tigers!
